Fortress of Solitude

Times are scary. Like most of you, I am now working remotely and staying home as much as is possible. I am trying to quell anxiety and remember that what we are doing is for the best. Typically, I use my art to calm my anxious mind. Luckily, I have plenty of projects to occupy my thoughts and fingers—my self-portrait, a pet commission, my large scale desert piece, several small studies that I have been planning. It you are having trouble settling into an art or craft practice, reach out. We can FaceTime and work on projects together yet separately, I can do live videos to teach techniques or to just amuse you. I’m a call or message away. Let’s set up a virtual sewing retreat or try something new together. Let’s support one another. Wash your hands, Stay home, if you can. Don’t panic. Create.

PS-I love how my hair turned out—chaotic and crazy, just like me.
